Greensboro, North Carolina Speed Traps
Interstate 40 near Wendover to Sandy Ridge Road
Unmarked Tan or White Tahoe/Suburbans patrolling along with unmarked cars. Speed limit is 65, can probably get away with up to 74 but its best to play it safe. Also targeting "road rage", ie, tailgating, excessive lane changes, etc.
Aycock Street near Spring Garden Street
Vehicle traveling north or south on Aycock from Spring Garden to Benjamin Parkway are very likely to encounter a UNCG campus cop and they will ticket anyone!
Lawndale Road near Pisgah Church Road
This trap is on Lawndale, anywhere from the turn off of Pisgah Church to Greensboro Day School. The flow of traffic is about 45-50, but the posted limit is 35. There are many side roads for police to park on, so as you go through the rolling hills, make sure to take it slow.
They enforce this area very strictly, mostly because of all the high school kids speeding at 80mph, so just be careful on this stretch of road.
W. Vandalia Road near Toler Road
W. Vandalia Rd is a four-lane road and the Speed Limit is 35mph. This section is a long straight down hill section. I have seen several Greensboro City Police Cars parked at bottom of hill in the Car wash lot clocking cars coming down the hill. You usually can not see the patrol car until your right on top of them.
US Highway 421 / W. Market near Near Airport
Constant stream of NCHP, Guilford Co Sherriff, and Greensboro PD, it’s a 45 MPH zone thats 5 lanes wide. and intersects with NC 68 bypass near I-40. You can see cars stopped 2-3 at a time by the various agencies
