Mooresville, North Carolina Speed Traps
Brawley School Road near The Point Circle
Cops start to hang out when Brawley School Rd begins with middle turn lane about a mile before you reach the roundabout at The Point.
highway 801 between Main street and highway 150 intersections
U dont even see this one. Even for the daily driver its a hard one. Cops park out front a house, that usually has a white car parked in it anyways. Commin from 150 or Mainstreet, u will dip down the hill, and Bam ur busted. its a 35 Zone, but dont worry too much, just dont go faster then 45.
Highway 150
Easy road to speed on, cause its soo straight. People love to drag race on it. No set spot on 150. Just dont go faster then 55 MPH in the 45 zone. Dont make it look like ur about to drag race or anything Illegal. Dont turn on any kind of Neon lights in you vehicle. Just keep it really really legal.
Wilkinson Boulevard, between I77 and Brawley School Road
Enforcement on this stretch tends to occur most heavily in the evenings and late night, typically at the beginning or end of the month. The REALLY interesting thing is the jurisdictional dispute along this road – it is (apparently) the dividing line between town and county enforcement, with each claiming jurisdiction as convienent. What this means is that odds are the ticket being written is being written out of jurisdiction by whoever writes it – I’ve seen both the city and the county prowling this road. Also, watch for a unmarked white Pontiac Grand Prix working the streets in the Mooresville area – no your typical plain white wrapper.
