At night, especially on the weekend, the Amherst Police department roams this area CONSTANTLY! Watch out especially north of Rt. 2/I-90 as they patrol that small area. If you run the red light going in to Lorain, they will follow you in to Lorain. Amherst = New Rome!

Middle Ridge Road near At Amherst city limits
Speed limit has recently been reduced from 35 mph to 25 mph even though there is no logical reason for the reduction other than the added revenue. Police sit at the just east of the city limits sign eastbound at the entrance of a housing developement. Much more activity near the end of the month. Not the first time Amherst has reduced speed limits for no good reason.
