Brecksville, Ohio Speed Traps
Mill Road near hilton school
They sit off the side of the road and catch people speeding through the school zones for both Hilton elementary and the high school. Completely ridiculous because there are never any children walking in the street by the elementary school.
Brecksville Road near Snowville Road
Police ROUTINELY park in commercial entrances just south of Snowville & right across from Treeline Dr. mostly checking north-bound traffic in morning; speed limit is 35. Also, if you continue North up rte 21 towards town center, limit changes to 25 near bottom of steep hill- moderate braking definitely necessary.
Interstate 77 near 80 Turnpike
Speed limit through Brecksville city limits on I77 is 60 miles per hour. This is a four mile stretch where there are often two traps, one near Route 82 and another near the I80 Turnpike.
Glenwood Trail near Royalton Road
Entering onto Glenwood Trail from RT82 (Royalton Road), I have more than once seen a cop hiding on the right side in a driveway that is in no way visible until you pass him, speeding, of course.
Interstate 77 near 1-2 miles north of the Ohio
Brecksville police are looking for anything, repeat anything —- some tickets are really tracky and some are indirectly caused as a result of the semi-hidden police car, ( speed changes from 65 to 60 ) and the result of people seeing the police car causes near accidents as people hit the brakes.
