Hamilton, Ohio Speed Traps
State Route 4 near Hyde’s Restaurant, Aamco Transmission, used car lots
Another well known Hamilton, Ohio speedtrap is on Route 4 north past the trestle and through the curve, to Maple Street, which is 35 mph. Officers back in between buildings and nab mostly the borderline speeders at night when traffic is moderate to light.
State Route 4
On Route 4 south between Headgates Road and North Fair Avenue, the speed limit drops from 55 mph to 35 mph with no warning. The officers usually park in parking lots (they seem to especially love to park next to the Hamilton Quick Stop dumpster) and nab the borderline speeders.
Beck Road near Symmes Road
This is after you cross the Bridge by Fairfield H.S. and go down a hill into the industrial parks that line Symmes Road. (The RR tracks you cross over represents the Hamilton/ Fairfield border). The speed limit is 35 and there might be a tendancy to pick up speed as you come down the hill. I also notice that Hamilton P.D. is pretty good at pulling people over on Symmes on Fri/ Sat. nights. Just take it easy.
