Willoughby Hills, Ohio Speed Traps
Merge of I 271 and I 90
Officers stay in the center around a bend where the two roads join. Traffic entering from the right from I-90 is usually coming down the ramp in excess of the 60 MPH limit. If you have to move to the right lane in order to exit on State Route 91 S.O.M. Center Road. you have to speed up to get into the exit lane. It is at that point that you will be clocked. The officers will tell you that it is a dangerous place and that you are speeding.
They use the merging traffic as a way to get you to speed up.
This same tactic is also used on the southbound lanes.

Maplegrove Road near State Route 91 SOM Center Rd
Maplegrove runs between Rt 91 (SOM Center Rd) and River Rd (Rt 174). It crosses over I-90 where it merges with I-271. Immediately east of the bridge crossing the freeway, there is frequently a motorcycle patrol or a police car parked on Parsons Dr. at Maplegrove. The posted speed is 25 mph but it is *very* easy to exceed that without even realizing it.
