Burlington, Ontario Speed Traps

About half way between Ontario St. & Fairview, there’s a gymnastics centre on the west side. It’s not every day, but it’s often enough that it’s worth knowing about.

This cop was situated in someone’s driveway! There’s a huge property on the left going towards Burlington (a few minutes south from Derry Rd) with a big gate and big driveway. The cop was sitting in here and had his radar gun out. I was asked to pull into this guys driveway to get a ticket. The owner even ended up coming out of his property while I was pulled over there! Then 2 more cops showed up and parked in this guys driveway as well. Apparently there will be many people being pulled over along this stretch of road right now.

there is a school there and cops like to hang out in a parking lot beside school.

There is a small driveway off to the side of the road just west of the Mercedes Dealership. There is usually a cop sitting in there in the early morning hours between 7-9am hiding behind the bushes. It is a long straight road with a limit of 60kmh, but people usually do 80kmh and can’t see the cop till it’s too late.

There is a big new train underpass just south of Dundas and the police sit on the southbound side behind a little building on the south side of the underpass so that southbound cars can’t see them. It is an area where the road opens up so drivers pick up speed.
