Kitchener, Ontario Speed Traps
State Highway 7
On your way out of Kitchener heading west on highway 7 on the expressway, just as you get out towards Trussler road and towards New Hamburg.. the limit is 90km/h, despite being two lanes in each direction, and having a 50 foot grass pit/barrier between each direction, and cops thoroughly enjoy sitting in the paved part of the meridian nailing drivers going by. They are there 95% of the times I have driven out that way.
Courtland Avenue
going down courtland avenue towards fairway road by the GM store, before the esso
Highland Road, Westheights
Radar trap set up just before Westheights on Highland Road, facing Fischer Hallman. If you are driving West on Highland, there is a small crest just after East Forest or Eastheights, forget the name of the street……..but if you are speeding, they have you as soon as you come over the hill.
Ottawa St. –> heading north from expressway/downtown
When heading north (before you get to Ottawa/Franklin intersection) you round a corner through a wooded area and they’re waiting down the side street on the right, always facing the same direction.
Victoria Rd
Just as you’re leaving Kitchener on Highway 7 East, before or after the bridge, it is fairly common to see a full-works speedtrap operation. They seem to be after eastbound drivers.
