Markham, Ontario Speed Traps

Couple of hot spots on Markham Road. First is just north of Finch right after the hill. Cops hide in commercial drive way on East side of Markham Road. Second hot spot is at Mcnicol right before the Petro Canada gas station. Cop parks in driveway right next to Petro Can on west side of Markham Road.

East of Hwy 48 there is a light then a rise that restricts vision. It is 4 lanes and just past Chrisman it is 70 km per hour so it is easy to be doing well over the posted 50. By the time you see them it is too late.

Sets up regularly on this residential road. Speed limit is 40km but due to wide raod, most vehicles drive over this speed. Will catch vehicles 15km & over. Very easy to do.

i just caught speeding there around 8:30pm… cuz it’s a dark area… so it’s HARD to see where the Popos are.. it’s a 50km/h zone.. but it’s a 4 land road… so it’s VERY easy get high speed there! so BECAREFUL!

Police car is usually hidding behind houses and trapping on southbound traffic. I have seen police car there on mid day of weekday & particularly weekend.
