Scarborough, Ontario Speed Traps
Markham rd Between Sheppard Ave and Steeles Ave
Ever since Markham rd was widened to three lanes both north and south bound in the mid 90’s most people do at least 80+ in this 60kmh zone and Toronto Police know it. Also the traffic lights are far apart so as a result this tempts many people to speed. If you speed watch out especially at night because there several areas they can hide. A couple of
places Between Sheppard and Finch they can hide in the Formula Honda Dealership or the industrial area across the street from it. Between Finch and Steeles they can sit and clock traffic on Turbina Ave and again the industrial area
across the street and a driveway just few meters north of Nashdene rd. They also target those coming from Markham(York Region) who have not reduced their speed. Speed Limit north of Steeles is 70kmh and once again people are doing at least 80+ coming from the 407 and HWY #7. Do not speed on this stretch of road it can be a war zone. If you do you will be caught.
Steels Ave. btw kennedy/Birchmont
they’ll hide at the enterence of a plaza usually with an unmarked cruiser
Morningside Avenue – Between Ellesmere and Kingston
They hide out in Morningside Park so you cannot see them. They stake out there at the end of the month or the middle of the month. There isn’t a traffic light for awhile, so it is very tempting to speed. Watch out:)
McLevin, Markham Rd
Between Markham Rd and Neilson on McLevin. 50km/hr zone so you don’t expect it. I drive there regularily at night time, and see them either by the Leon’s Furniture store, or hidden in a parking lot in adjacent buildings.
