St. Thomas, Ontario Speed Traps
Wellington Rd – South of Hwy 3 Bypass
Changes from 80 kph down to 50 kph unrealistically. Traffic here is already going slower as they leave the lights s/bound.
hwy 3 and hwy 74 new sarum
They moved the speed limit down the road ,,,,so they sit at the church tagging everyone as soon as they hit the new 50 km sign
Highbury Ave between Ron McNeil and South Edgeware
Highly monitored area by St Thomas Police. Frequently traveled stretch of road by
people who live in London but work in St Thomas or on route to a beach in the summer. Police hide at corner on Edgeware line, in entrance to Hydro One station and occasionally in a few private drives for short periods of time. Sometimes they will cruise up and down this stretch close to the vehicle ahead of them to catch cars speeding by in the opposite lane. Police cars can be black and white Ford Crown Vics or a dark grey stealth Crown Vic with faint lettering and hidden roof lights.
On John Wise Line between Quaker Rd and Centennial.
OPP always hiding somewhere along this stretch of road, will pull you over if you are travelling over 90km/h
Ron McNeil Line anywhere between Belmont Road and Wellington
Cruisers are incessantly travelling this strip of highway clocking oncoming traffic doing their best to rob the working stiff. Have been hit here twice in the last year. It seems they have stepped it up even more Spring 2010.
