Toronto, Ontario Speed Traps
401E On Ramp from Weston South
This onramp is a butterfly on ramp, with lots of trees in the middle blocking your view 5 or 6 car lengths ahead. I’ve seen cops sitting on the inside on the on ramp. It’s a 30km/h speed limit, don’t go faster then 50, not until you can see the end.
North Bound Brimley Road after 401 bridge
When you travel on Brimley Road north bound just when you cross the 401 bridge, there is slope. You can see a vulture hiding behind the tree, you can only see when you are on the slope and by the time you know he scans your speed and you are trapped. Be careful bunnies, vulture are hiding.
Parkside and high park blvd / southbound traffic
Cop is parked in grassy area. Can’t see car. Cop is standing behind a wide hydro poll with tripod. Impossible to see as you come south.
Caledonia Road and Leswyn Road(North of Lawarence)
A cop with a tripod will look for people going NORTH bound. There is a Hydro poll and a different poll that comes up out of the ground that makes it really hard to see the cop. Caledonia goes from being one lane that is usually backed up to being two lanes in a commercial/industrial area with very few pedestrians and less traffic. The speed limit is also not posted anywhere on Caledonia from about Rogers north.
Morningside Ave, HWY 401
You can see cops on the Conlins road Bridge just as you go past the Meadowvale exit, going West on HWY 401.
The cop informs the other cop on Morningside Ave Exit to chase you.
You can usually see a tripod sticking over the bridge.
Anyone over 110~km/h can get caught.
