Toronto, Ontario Speed Traps
Runnymede Rd. south of Deforest Rd.
This is a 30 km/h zone, down a fairly steep hill. The cop sits at the bottom of the hill, waiting to fill her monthly quota in one day. While you wait for your ticket, a half dozen other cars zoom by going faster than you were! And when the cop hands you the ticket she says, "I HAVE to give you the ticket because we’ve had neighbourhood complaints." As if that makes it alright.
A 30 km/h zone? Even School Zones are 40 m/h!!! And I could coast down the hill faster than 50 km/h (and probably was at the time I got nabbed.)

Bayview Avenue Southbound onbridge between Granite Club and
Cruiser(s) hide in an invisible "pull off" drive behind bridge abutment at south end of bridge and catch southbound drivers as they come across the bridge. Parking space ofr 5-6 cars, usually full with drivers waiting for their mass produced tickets. Wonder why everyone pokes along this bridge? Local knowledge. Pass at your own risk.
427 Northbound
As you are heading north on the 427 you go under a bridge just around the Molson buildings on the right. The OPP sit under the bridge (which comes over from 401 West to go 427 North).
Millwood Bridge – North end of Donlands/Pape (both sides)
They usually sit on the north west side on the grass, but are very difficult to spot as the guardrail gives them ample cover. They’ll also sit on the south side – for the most part in the open – but catch a fair share of people that accelerate around the corner prior to the bridge.
Gerrard and Clonmore (Eastbound from Victoria Park)
Actually a badly-engineered piece of highway, this curved joining of two roads sees a drop from a 40 to an unusual 30 km/h – with little warning. Toronto’s finest are waiting to fish you in for a profitable traffic ticket, rather than see that the city fix an obvious safety problem. I have been harassed by honking tailgaters here because I do slow down as signed at the bend.
