Depoe Bay, Oregon Speed Traps
Depoe Bay southbound
I past through the small town then accelerated just outside of Depoe Bay, I saw a Black unmarked car flying up behind me, so I accelerated more because I was afraid of getting rear-ended. then the Police officer put on his lights less then 6 feet behind me and said I was going 20 mph over the speed limit. I will fight this ticket!
North side of town, U.S. 101
It was pitch black, zero pedestrian activity in an area that’s crawling with pedestrians during the day. Vehicular traffic is occasional this Thursday night, an innocent-looking car is shrouded in darkness, parked on the shoulder that serves as a parking strip in front of one of the first resorts of a group along the west side. Alas, despite no safety issues in need of enforcement, the car that’s parked was a dark-colored Oregon State Police car lying in wait, speed trap ready to collect from the first person who’s not down to 35 mph, from 45 mph just before it.
South of Town
The State HWY Patrol sits there waiting for people to accelerate. This is a 35MPH Zone and they will bust your chops.
Problem is – it looks like 45 so be careful. They got me.
