Carlisle, Pennsylvania Speed Traps

Our tax money has paid for the construction of dug-in hideaways for the state police to tuck in so they can’t be seen.

Traveling I-81 North into Carlisle, State Police use radar and mainly aircraft to monitor speed right after the Plainfield exit. Speed limit goes from 65 to 55 mph near Carlisle. I have seen as many as five motorists pulled over at once.

Along Ritner HWy between Golds Gym and Ruff Cheverolet. I see them sitting in the old Kinney shoe drive and on the little side streets that intersect with Ritner. Speed limit is 40 a lot of the traffic goes 45-50.

I’ve never seen a cop between these exits before until last week. I was driving westbound from Philadelphia. It was dark out so I didn’t get a good glance at where he was but he was hidden in some tall grass.

Police sit right by the water works building at the bottom of the hill right after you turn off Spring road.
