Chambersburg, Pennsylvania Speed Traps
Kriner Road just before Gateway Gallery
The trooper sits in the parking lot of a storage garage between a body shop and Gateway Gallery and, with the road being very hilly, you crest the top of the bridge over the CSX railroad and it’s too late if you are over 35MPH. He has a clear radar shot of the top of the bridge. You are on acceleration to get over that steep bridge hill and then are over the limit coming down the hill and he’s got you. Easy pickins for the Trooper.
Fifth Ave at TB Woods Company
For less than 1/2 mile, the speed drops from 35 to 25 and police sit in the Woods employee parking lot among other cars. In defense of the City, there is an electronic speed reminder on the southbound side before the reduced speed begins, but nothing on the northbound and most police stops observed are northbound.
