Doylestown, Pennsylvania Speed Traps
611 Bypass near Broad Street
Doylestown Township PD sits on the Broad Street on ramp to the northbound 611 bypass. Vascar is used as well as ENRADD (or something similar).
State Route 313 near State Highway 263
Traveling north on 313(Swamp Rd), after crossing 263(York Rd), an unmarked car with a VASCAR setup sits on Robbin Rd. This is at the bottom of the large hill, so your speed will naturally be higher than normal.
Look for a black box propped up about a foot off the ground, on the right shoulder of 313 just before the small street(Robin Rd) at the bottom of the hill.
Usually multiple police cars are used. One unmarked for the ‘clocking’, and others to pull you over and write the ticket.
RT 611 Bypass near US Highway Rt 313
I have seen Pa State Police running trap on southbound 611 Bypass traffic as you come under the Rt313 overpass. This traffic would be originating from the Plumsteadville direction and not those vehicles entering from Rt313. There is a right hand bend in the road as you approach the Rt 313 overpass. Marked or unmarked car will sit on the grass or just up the edge of the road just as you pass under the overpass. Sometimes the radar car will park in front of a long haul truck sleeping on the edge of the road. Chase cars are located on the on ramp from Rt313 to the 611 Bypass or on the ramp from Broad St to the 611 Bypass.
Green Street near Mercer Museum
As you drive out of town past the Mercer Museum on Green St there is usually a cop car parked on one of the two side streets with their radar on. You go down hill there and the speed limit is 35mph then turns to 45 mph. Wait until you pass the 45 mph sign before you do 45 mph or you will have a ticket.
