Dunmore, Pennsylvania Speed Traps
As you head northbound on 81, toward O’neil Hghy
As you travel north on Rte 81 and bear right toward Dunmore/O’Neil Highway, as you go under overpass, statey is sitting under the overpass, monitoring your speed to see if you are reducing for the sharp left bearing onto service road of Rte 81 for the exit ( I have found that the statey stays at underpass, and has 2 partners doing the car stopping )
Drinker Street near Throop Street
While I was pulled over for about ten minutes, three more cars were pulled over at the same spot! It’s 30MPH on most of the road, but apparently there’s a 25MPH sign, although I (and several other people) didn’t see it. I had exited off of 380 highway too soon, and was driving through to get back onto 81.
Interstate 84 near Interstate 84 & 81 Junction
Coming into Dunmore and Scranton where the junction of interstates 84, 81, and 380 meet, north of Scranton, state police enforce speed limits by hiding around the last turn of I-84. Use caution in that area, many are pulled over.
Wheeler Ave. around area before Gas station after Mini-mart
Wheeler Ave. in area going from Scranton into Dunmore before the first gas station up to the mini-market Dunmore has lines painted on the road and have been known to use the Vascar and radar, also timers so radar does not always work. Dunmore pulls over a lot of cars in this area as it’s a straight road. Also Dunmore has been trying to cut down on speeders due to complaints from people on speeders.
