Homer City, Pennsylvania Speed Traps
North Lincoln Street near 119 South
Police will sit in the Mistretta Beer Distributor parking lot. The Homer City Borough cops use VASCAR and the State Police use their radar guns catching speeders south bound heading towards Blairsville. The speed limit is 50 mph. State Police will use marked and unmarked cars. Borough cops use their cars or their SUV.
South Main Street
Borough cops will sit on the other side of the Welcome To Homer City sign right in a person’s personal driveway behind a line of bushes. They sit there using VASCAR catching speeders when the school zone is active. Normally the speed limit is 35 mph but drops to 15 mph in the school zone. Make sure when entering or exiting Homer City during the time school is in or letting out to drop your speed to 15 mph.
US 119 N, Police on E. Church st.
Local Police have recieved a grant from local or state because of multiple fatalities in the area over the past 3 months. got a ticket at 11:55 pm, officer said he clocked me at 65 in a 50, pulled over within 100yds of speed limit sign stating 55mph.
US Highway 119 near State Highway 56
Local officer sits either on the Norty or South side of Rt 119 near the Rt 56 light and watches for anyone running the red light. State police and local police also sit at either the Magistrates office or the distibutors parking lot watching for speeders.
