Route 59 in Village of Lafayette (Mt. Alton)
State police sit in the entrance to McKean County Memorial Cemetery watching east and west traffic on Route 59. Often on evenings that race traffic is going to and coming from McKean County Raceway in Smethport, PA. Sometimes there are multiple units sitting behind the large stone structures at each side of the entrance road. The speed limit is 45 in that area after a long strait road where the limit is 55.
