Langhorne, Pennsylvania Speed Traps
S. Flowers Mill Rd.
When you go downhill under the I-95 bridge, the speed limit is 35mph. Downhill you go faster, cops usually hide at the Harley Davidson parking lot.
West Marshall Ave – Langhorne Borough
The trap is at the bottom of the hill and just as you start ascending. It’s a perfect place because you naturally will be going faster do to the hill. I’ve been a borough resident for more than 20 years and quite involved in the local community. The officer didn’t want to hear any of it. My son got a ticket same spot 30 minutes later. Each ticket was 154.00 and points. Slow down here they won’t slap your wrist and send you on your way…they’ll just say too bad!
Northbound on Bridgetown Pike, 1/4 mile from East Holland Rd
Northampton Township Police have regular speed traps on the northbound side of Bridgetown Pike between East Holland Road and Route 413. There are two 35 MPH signs on a narrow stretch of road, and the chase car is backed into the weeds as the road narrows. The speed trap is there 3 to 4 times per week.
Nothbound Business Rte. one 1/2 mile from rte. one bypass.
After exiting U.S. Rte. 1 north onto Business Rte. 1 north Middletown Township Police use the new speed machine that is a small metal box about the size of a milk case that sits off to the side of the road (no painted lines needed). It can transmit your speed to a car up to a half mile away. This trap is so successful that they use about 12 chase cars and motorcycles. I don’t think there is any pattern to this trap. I think they just set it up when they need money.
