Lower Merion, Pennsylvania Speed Traps

State police will sit in a turnaround. They have done both directions but usually target northbound traffic–the location is ideal because northbound traffic comes around a curve and can’t see the police until the last second due to the turnaround being on an incline. Turnaround is located just past the PA Turnpike alert signs (after the County Line Rd overpass)

In front of HAverford School in the Am. Typically during the 15mph restriction due to the school. Usually Eastbound traffic. They will radio ahead to cops waiting at the AAA. which is where they pull u over to ticket u

Coming in from Radnor Township, officers will set up an infrared speed detector just past County Line Road as you go down a small hill. A chase car waits behind a barn about 1/2 mile up the road.

New ESP device sits off of Grey’s Ferry on Cheswold at bottom of hill.

East bound traffic directly in front of the Haverford school. The police will pull you over just after station rd. 15mph is limit.
