Lower Southampton, Pennsylvania Speed Traps

Sensors are placed at the bottom of the hill, just past Bristol rd. Police are up the road, out of view, waiting to pull you over. Speed limit is abnormally low at 30mph. They catch on at the bottom of the hill when everyone is at top speed…. total money grab.

Trap is between green vally dr and elm ave on bustleton pike.One cop sits some were between green vally and elm.And two or three sit at the old trainstation and pull you over.

goes from a 45 mph to 35 mph in the twnship of feasterville and lower southampton, cops stash the radar car out of site and then funnel violators into a parking lot, hand out preprinted tickets where all they do is throw in your name and fine. Write the ticket in less than 5 minutes. Total money tap

Officer sits on side, generally in folding lawn chair on private residential property or in personal auto. Marks data to start-finish white line zone and radio’s ahead to waiting additional officers. Problem is that speed trap is near bottom of a hill and just coasting will allow you to exceed 35 mph limit. Speed trap is usually applied weekdays between 10:30 AM & 1:00 PM. Most time speed trap is only on West bound traffic because after they jump out w/stop sign they pull you into a Cul De Sac Street so you can’t get away.

Police run several traps a week on this road. Speed is enforced with their airplane. If you run past there trap, they go after you with there white ford mustangs or harley davidson motorcycles. LSPD will nail you for speeding. Be very polite & they might let you slide.
