Meadville, Pennsylvania Speed Traps

The state police are out tonight. Four speed traps on I79 north towards Erie coming from Pittsburgh. All four radar traps towards North portion of I79, none towards I79 south.

The police sit at the Ernst bike trail parking lot which is at the bottom of a steep grade.The speed limit is 40,but just by coasting down the grade you can reach 65 very easily.

Drove this route for many years. All the turn arounds where they clock are at mile markers with a last digit of 2, 5, 7, and 9. Also, I have occasionally seen them, clock on the on ramps near McKean.

There is a road that cuts to the West at the base of the hill, just past the Christmas Tree farm. State Police cruisers sit there often to "tag" the cars coming down the hill from the intersection of Routes 19/ 322/ 98. Beware.
