Middletown, Pennsylvania Speed Traps
White House Lane near Rosedale Avenue
The posted speed limit is 25, 35 would be a safe and reasonable speed. An officer is regularly posted at the bottom of the hill just after the entrance to Georgetown and before Lisa Lake. He is clearly visible as you approach the hill from the bottom, but he is hidden to the cars coming down the hill until it is too late.
State Route 441 South near Main Street
Vehicles are clocked going down a hill and there are several police cars waiting at the bottom. One office will stand in the middle of the street and motion for the vehicles to pull over. When I drove past there were 4 cars being ticketed at the same time.
US Highway 1 near Red Roof
Passing the State Police Station on Route 1 in Middletown Township coming to or from the Concordville area may result in being pulled over if you are speeding. The speed limit is 45 miles per hour, there is a large concrete barrier, but many motorists opt to do 60 or greater. As such, in the area between the station and Wawa’s corporate headquarters, there is a high level of monitoring including marked and unmarked cars. The unmarked cars are generally gray, light blue, or white Ford Crown Victoria models which are often labeled "Police Interceptor" instead of "Crown Victoria".
Business Route 1 aproximately one mile after coming of Penn Del Exit
One Officer sitting, with up to 7 chase cars.
I-95S at Bus. Rt. 1 Overpass
The cop sits on the overpass and watches the traffic going south on I-95. I don’t know if he uses radar or just sight, but as soon as he sees somebody, he quickly merges onto the interstate and pulls the person over. I have seen them do it twice, but don’t know if they’re there everyday.
