New Britain, Pennsylvania Speed Traps

Speed limit it 25 mph. They are using the Enradd system, which is bogus in my opinion. They set it up just after you round the bend, just past the ranger’s station and they pull you over at the next intersection. I have no idea how they determine it is you from 5 football fields away! The enradd system is two beams of light that your car breaks and somehow they get the signal in their cruiser. In my case, I was the middle car out of five cars and he tells me and only me to pull over. They have been blitzing this area, sometimes multiple days in a row! New Britain cops are brutal…..

I posted this location a few years ago. THEY ARE OUT IN FORCE. THEY ARE NO NONSENSE COPS. The speed limit is 45MPH. They usually park in the driveway of 1910 Swamp Rd. The night i recieved my ticket for 64 MPH. They also park across from New Galena Rd. in an old business lot. I travel this road every night to and from work. Some times i see two or three police cars out stopping vehicles. Mostly the cars with no light bars. They seem to be the most aggressive. Please take this advice. If you speed they will get you and you will get a TICKET.

Myself and a friend were both stopped within a week. The officer means business and does not believe in giving breaks. 62 mph in a 45 mph zone seems to the cut off. They have been very aggressive lately. 45 mph means 45 mph.

They are back out there. Upperstate rd by the sewer plant. The officer that stopped me has been there several times since i’ve been given a ticket. It seems like it is none stop. I heard rumor of thirty tickets a week. BE CAREFUL THEY ARE NO JOKE AND VERY SERIOUS!

Southbound side of Callowhill. Speed limit is 40, writing anything above 45. They have been there for ticket blitzes twice this month, and very productive as they work the downhill section of roadway. Went to court and found 24 people also ticketed in same spot that day. Officer was there and "agreed" to lower speed to 45 if we would plead guilty rather than fight it. Lowered fine and no points. Multiple people did the same.
