North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania Speed Traps
Lincoln Highway, red "Starters and Alternators" building
Near "Hartford Heights VFD" and "Glorias Exotic Dance Club", straight across from those buildings on Lincoln highway there is a red building that is labeled "Starters and Alternators". It is on the left side heading westbound towards North Versailles/Mckeesport/Pittsburgh. Once in a while typically at night post 10PM a cop parks in front of this building. If you are heading westbound, slow down when you spot the big storage building with blue doors on the left. If you are heading eastbound (away from Pittsburgh) slow down when you see the "Vangura" building and Ferrari’s Pizza place. This is the main spot, heading eastbound around the corner is a blind spot where you can’t see the cop until it’s too late. That entire section up up until past KMart is a big speed trap, it’s wise to watch your speed here.
Lincoln Way at the Old Duncan Insurance Building
NHT police sit back in the corner of the parking lot so you cannot see them.
US Highway 30 near Pennsylvania Turnpike
Eastbound US 30 about 3 miles west of the Irwin interchange of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Motorists coming down the "Jacktown Hill" can expect to be stopped if exceeding the 40 mph speed limit. This is a 4 lane highway, and if a motorist is going the speed limit when approaching the top of the hill, he or she will be going 60mph at the bottom of the hill unless the motorist applies the brakes, which is normally unnecessary given the prevailing traffic conditions and the state of the road.
US Highway 30 near Bob’s Sunoco and Jacktown Hill
There is a dip in the hill, near the gas station where the officers always sit, day or night, they raise a lot of money for the municipality through these two speed traps, if you are going west bound make sure you slow down prior to crossing the bridge.
Ridge Road near Thomas Drive
Cops will sit on both sides of Thomas Drive and nail you going over 35 MPH. Did you notice the NHTownship "Your Speed is: " device there recently? Be especially careful of the woman cop. No warnings.
