Camp Horne Road near Interstate 279
Camp Horne Road between the I-279 Interchange and Route 65 (Ohio River Blvd) is a notorious stomping ground for the local police. At various points there are VASCAR lines and they WILL pull you over for anything above the posted speed limit. For the most part, the Speed Limit is 35 mph, however, just before the Avonworth Park, it drops to 25 mph, and they constantly nab people for exceeding that. They maintain a heavy presence on this road. When I drive on this stretch of road, I don’t mess around at all. I have seen them there all times of the day and night and often see people pulled over.
Camp Horne-Lowries Run Road @ Mt. Nebo Road
@ First light east of the Camp Horne exit of I-279, where road is 4 lanes divided with 35mph speed limit, Vascar lines are just before left turn lane split and just before intersection; enforcement tends to be between dusk and dawn; easy spot to speed when coming off highway and acclaimated to higher speed travel
