Sugarcreek, Pennsylvania Speed Traps
State Highway Route 8 near Liberty Street, Franklin to Oil City Line Street
Sugarcreek Borough police randomly monitor traffic from Several locations along the Route 8 corridor, as well as moving patrol cars, seven days a week. The PA State Police have been know to patrol the corridor also. The speed limit is 45 MPH but, being a straight four lane highway, it is easy to lose track and exceed the limit. The officers are not shy about writing citations. Be careful!
State Highway 322 near West of the City of Franklin
Same as the last post, the "Borough Boys" sit anywhere on rt 322 from Franklin to Wyattville. Pay close attention to what headlights are behind you at night. They love to "pace" the cars and when you think the other guy is just following you they hit the lights and you realize your busted. Be careful they are ticket writing machines.
State Highway 8
There is no description. Department uses unmarked vehciles, marked vehicles and sometimes no vehicles at all. They will sit along the road in a chair and target vehicles then call ahead to a chase car. You never seem them until it is to late. And if you see red and blues in the rearview mirror you can garuntee your getting at least one citation. The "Borough Boys" as we locals call them, are ruthless enforcers that would cite there own mothers. When traveling in the Borough use caution.
Rt. 417 galloway hill
They sit about 1/2 way up hill. Speed drops from 55 (rt. 417) to 35 mph. going south into Rocky Grove.
