Upper Providence, Pennsylvania Speed Traps
US Route 1 north and south
As you travel on US Rt. 1, north or south, and you pass under State Route 252 Local cops will sit at the top of the onramp, both sides, and use the white lines near the ramps to clock you, also PA State Police will use RADAR from the same spot mostly checking southbound traffic.
Old State Road & Crum Creek Road (Under Route 1 & 476)
Cop sits on hidden driveway and clocks you as you come down the hill on Old State Road. They use Vascar and clock you for 2 seconds by Crum Creek Road. The speed limit is 35 and most people do 50. Up too and over $140.00 fine and 4 points can be added to your license.
Providence Rd. between Bishop Hollow and 252
The police cars are parked either at the electrical box at the intersection of Bishop Hollow and Providence Rd. or in one of the side streets or St. Mary Magdalen School. The traps are mostly a money maker for the township. THe officers can be lenient as they work with you and give you a fine rather than points.
