East Greenwich, Rhode Island Speed Traps

An Unmarked State Police Car Black parked in the breakdown lane about 1 mile Southbound on Rt. 4 in the East Greenwich area just before the Quonset Exit, from Rt. 95 exit. I was stopped on Monday, January 8th at 10:15AM. The State Policeman was very kind & mentioned that if I had no prior speeding tickets in the state, I am from MA, & if my record (Good Driving Record- No Moving Violations for 3 years before the ticket) in MA was good that I could appear in court and request that the summons be dismissed upon payment of all fees, costs & or assessments. A Certified Copy of my Driving Record in MA has to be provided to the Court.

They just love to sit there and wait for some poor shmoo to go a little bit too fast – so watch out.

They love to sit in the Greenwich Club parking lot and catch those on this poorly limited stretch of Post Rd

At bpttp, of hill coming from high school toward south pierce

They typiclly sit far back in the lot, and pick people off going west on Frenchtown Rd. Hard to see them till you are well past the lot.
