Denmark, South Carolina Speed Traps

This officer sits across the street from Holland Hitch and waits for persons to come into Denmark city limits. I was charges $445.00, 6 points and was threatened to be taken to jail for wreck less driving. I was slowing down coming into town, but had not slowed down all the way when I got to him, but he still says I was doing 59 in a 30! I’m fighting this all the way!!!

Police pull into the parking lot of the Bi-Lo shopping center and sit among parked cars, just past the Hardees. This is a major artery to Charleston and carries a lot of big truck traffic…they love to pull these guys over…you can see them on the raod side any time of the day or night…and there is no alternative except to travel 50+ miles out of the way. Speed limit drops fast from 55 to 30 and is posted over a crest in the road, its like shooting fish in a barrel!
