North Augusta, South Carolina Speed Traps
Georgia Ave. @ 13TH Street Bridge
Police Officers will park their vehicles out of sight, exit their vehicles, and hide by standing behind the palm trees that are in the median. They will use hand held radar units held against the trees and when unsuspecting motorists are coming down the hill toward the Georgia State Line, the police will jump out from behind the trees with radar in hand and flag the motorist down. In some incidence almost causing accidents.
I-20 east and west near GA state line. Mile marker 2/3.
County or HP can be "in" the trees or in the median beyond a stand of trees. West bound is more dangerous; cruiser in the trees as you are headed down a steep grade. 10 mph overlimit is generally overlooked.
martintown rd. s.c.230
all marked blue and white and green and white cars. high level of enforcement all over town but highest on 230. no mercy. only give about 5 mph over the posted 40. warnings are never given, local or out of towners. average cost is $125.00. some officers are courtious, some are arrogant.
