Richland, South Carolina Speed Traps

Troopers sit in the median as you cross under the Killian Road Exit (I-77 South). Car is parked in the valley of the median jsut before a speed limit change approximately 1/4 mile past Trooper. Popular palce to tag out out state travelrs as they head into the I-277/I-20 interchange.

State troopers constatly patrol this sretch of highway, It’s immediately after you pass the Richland High School and Exxon Gas Station going towards Columbia. There’s been plenty of drivers (including myself) who have been pulled over in this area. They use mostly marked silver Ford Crown Victorias. I’m not sure if an unmarked spots speeders first and then signals the marked one down the road. Anyways, don’t even think of going over 55 when you pass that school or you may be the next poor sap on the side of the road waiting for your ticket to be served.
