State Highway 34 near US Highway 21
After exiting I-77 eastward onto SC #34, you travel through rural area for several miles with a posted speed limit of 55 mph. The speed limit drops to 45mph as you approach a few houses, then suddenly drops to 25 mph. Just after that, at the intersection with US 21, the police hide and nab motorists. It must be quite a money maker.

The Town Police Chief likes to sit at the edge of the city limits where the speed drops from 55 to 35. They just put in a new interchange at I-77 and this makes this route a new favorite for him as a lot of unaware out-of-towners take this route to get to the local auction house. If there is a big auction going on you can almost guarantee he’ll be setting a trap somewhere in town, particularly this spot because of its new availability to him. So be careful.
