SCHP sites beside exit ramp where speed reduces from 60 mph to 45 mph. This dramatic change is in preparation for the exit ramps (either east or west bound) but the cops get you as you enter into the new speed zone long before reaching the ramps. Definitely a speed trap.

2 cops sit on their motorcycles at the Forestbrook Clubhouse on Forestbrook Road. One uses the radar while the other steps out in the road and motions for you to pull in. They don’t even have to come after you or turn on their lights. I’ve seen this many times and they will have several cars lined up in the clubhouse parking lot.

Improved four lane road in a rural area with a 45MPH speed limit. I travel the 12 mile trip twice each day 6 days a week and average seeing two cars pulled per trip. SCHP setting in medians, church parking lots or just cruising.

At the intersection where South Carolina State Highway 544 and South Carolina State Highway 31 come together State Highway Patrol normaly hide under the overpass bridge or just West of the bridge in the medium.
