Belle Fourche, South Dakota Speed Traps

This is the most direct route between the high school and the middle school and is a little over a mile long and only 25 mph. Be careful between 7:30 & 8:15 while school drop off is taking place, there is usually a patrolman somewhere along that stretch to slow everybody down.

One mile south of Belle Fourche, before the golf course, speed change sign says 45mph, down from 65mph. Police wait for those who don’t quickly slow.

Coming into Belle Fourche from the south, by Mish Mash Restaurant, speed drops down to 45 from 65.

Coming south down Redwater Hill–speed limit is 65 mph and steep hill allows for speed increase. You will get stopped early in the morning or late afternoon (work rush hours)!
