Across from the school complex on MD Route 216
Howard County employs small transit vans that move from school to school. This one parks at the beginning of a decel lane next to the east bound land across from the school complex in order to catch eastbound traffic. This is especially unfair because the speed limit has been arbitrarily lowered from 45 to 35 and the complex is well off the roadway. The entrance is controlled by traffic light, crosswalk and crossing guard at appropriate times. Local drivers have been cruising this road at 45-50 for years and are on auto-pilot. My wife and I have been ticketed for 48 MPH.
