approx. 20 miles south of Austin, Texas on US Highway 183
There is no town there, simply a stretch of highway that has been incorporated. Heavily partolled by up to three cars. Zero tolerance. Will write for anything above the posted limits.
City limit signs are hidden, so you do not know when you have entered their enforcement zones.

I drove this road every day for nearly two years. Like many of you, I was never able to determine exactly where Mustang Ridge was located. There were no city limits signs, no businesses, no homes--nothing. I simply set my cruise control to 55 and limped through this area every day. One day, I noticed that the signs changing the speed limit from 70 to 55 were in a different location. My car-poolers and I began to pay attention to the location of the sign and it changed on a regular basis. I never observed the police officers changing the location of the sign but it was always fastened to some sort of temporary structure rather than anchored in the ground. I am certain they were moving the speed limit reduction sign.
