Aquarena Springs Drive near Bobcat Stadium
Officers from Hays County, DPS, San Marcos, and Texas State University sit in the parking lots along Aquarena Springs Drive and just wait to give you a ticket. The speed lowers from 45 to 35 and is poorly marked near the railroad tracks. They are ruthless and will write you for 5 over every time. They will also “find”” other things to add to the ticket to make more money off of you.”

This is also a very high traffic area, has a stop light setup and has 2 different rail crossings. It is clearly marked that the speed changes down to 35 in multiple areas on both sides of the track. Reason for the speed change is due to the major college apartment locations, the stadium and its use as both HS and college level sports, plus all the other activities that go on in the stadium parking lots on both sides of the track. Also, there is a golf course and an elementary school in the nearby vacinity which is an additional reason to be going slow through here.
