At the entrance to Dry Falls State Park
When you turn off the highway into the entrance to Dry Fall State Park, the speed limit is 25 mph. The sign is poorly placed, opposite the distracting grand entrance banner. For the next mile there is a steady and steep downhill stretch with nothing but sagebrush and rattle snakes. Most drivers, even when riding their brakes, will travel above 30 mph. At the one hidden pull-out they sit and wait.
