Pasadena City’s Jurisdiction reaches along Armand Bayou down to Clear Lake. Pasadena Police swarm these areas to collect revenue. On Bay Area Blvd. they get you coming and going. Speed changes from 50 to 40 mph in the area of the park and they hide behind trees at the park and around the corner west of the bayou. On Nasa Road One a motorcycle cop sits in median just east of Space Center Blvd. When they are set up at the park, they usually have several vehicles pulled over writting tickets, so beware…

Recently, I have had some appointments which take me past Bay Area Park. The first time I saw an officer walk in the middle of the road and point his radar gun right in front of a moving car I was stunned. After the 4th incident, I took photos of this procedure. I am concerned an officer will get hurt or cause a driver to make a poor choice when faced with an officer stepping in front of the car. I have contacted the police department about this bizarre behavior. Please be careful, especially midday.
