Not really speed trap, but a trap nonetheless.

Everyone knows the traffic on this ramp is terribly slow. The only lane that moves is the left lane going toward Manhattan. The middle and right lane toward Brooklyn are extremely slow. Cars that have to go to Brooklyn often take the left lane and skip all the other cars…To do this, you have to drive over a small cross hatch (striped area). Sometimes, an unmarked police vehicle sits in the cross marks and pulls over drivers who try to skip the line into Brooklyn. As long as you get in the right lane before the cross hatch marks, you’ll be safe. The ticket is about $40.00 plus a $50.00 surcharge I believe.
