This trap usually is set up during the mid-day hours with both marked and unmarked Richmond City Police Department vehicles. They hide in the median just after the Forest Hill overpass on the northbound side, and on the right-hand shoulder just beyond the Huguenot Rd overpass on the southbound side of Chippenham.

The posted limit on this divided highway is 45 mph, but general traffic flow is 55 to 60 most anytime day or night. Enforcement is not excessive, but they are out there. Most will give you about 10 mph over, but that is about it.

I have gone past a marked car going 57 and was not pulled. {Whew!} I feel it my civic duty to warn everyone else to slow down through there. 🙂
