This location is presently under construction with the Palmetto Parkway from Georgia to I-20. The speed limit for 25-30 years has been 45 mph, but when they got to a certain point, they changed it without warning for the Safety of the workers. Have no problem, but a large sign should have been erected to the change prior to getting to the new overpass. I’m for issuing speeding tickets when necessary. This is true at each and every roadway that the new Palmetto Parkway crosses over. North Augusta has jurisdiction on both sides of the parkway from Georgia to I-20 in South Carolina. This memo is not intended to scare anyone, but for them to be aware and be safe by doing the assigned speed limit(s) everywhere they may travel.
