County Road 34 easbound through town.
There is a school zone along this road just as you enter town. The zone runs all the way east to the post office. When the school zone is on, the speed limit is a paltry 15…quite a bit lower than other than needed and lower than other school zones in Colorado communities. Law enforcement is handled by the Boulder County Sherrifs Dept in Mead. They hid in the school parking lot amongst the other cars, so unless you know where to look, you probably won’t see them. 15 mph is ridiculous even for a school zone.
