County Trunk 48 near US Highway 20/Alt 72
Leighton, Al., is a small town with very little income. They try to make up for it by writing speeding tickets.

Leighton, Al. has one red light but at least 7 police cars; the speed limit signs are changed often and the city limit signs are moved. When you are out of city limits they will stop you and write a ticket and say you were in city limits, then ask you why you aren't afraid of them. Not stopping long enough at stop sign at railroad tracks will get you a nice ticket of $154. The ticket is a $20. with court cost of $134. Do the speed limit exactly, but if you do a few miles under the speed limit, they will follow you on your bumper to next county. This is the only way for the town to make any money.
