As you leave Driggs headed east on Ski Hill Road passing 5th Street, Ski Hill Road leaves the Driggs residential area, but the speed limit remains at 25 for some time and then inches up to 45. Nearly everyone tends to speed up after passing the residential area into an area with few buildings and nearly everyone knows of someone who has received a ticket along this stretch of lonely road.

Enforcement goes up astronomically when there are public events at Grand Targhee (at the far end of Ski Hill Road) and out-of-towners can be snared by the sheriff. Having an out of state license plate on this road is a clear disadvantage.
