Dexter-Pinckney Road near Crossroad with M-36
Officer sits at the top of a short hill, near a change from 35 to 45. His vehicle is usually masked by the glare of midday sun, as the township police use tan-coloured cruisers.
The officer typically uses a laser, and sits on his perch throughout the day giving ticket after ticket to people who either speed up too fast from the intersection (getting past 35 mph before the 45 zone starts) or the poor fellows who slow down too slowly (when the 45 zone ends, going towards the light).
My advice for this particular trap is to stay below 40 until you get to the 45 zone, and don’t think that just ‘coasting’ towards the light will save you… slow down to 40 and rest your foot on the brake to keep your brakelights on. I counted 15 tickets in 2 hours one day sitting and watching this trap.
