Sheriff’s deputy on motorcycle sits in entry drive to Eagle Ridge Lakes at intersection with Eagle Ridge Dr. and American Colony Blvd. Typically they set up in the morning to catch drivers coming out of Eagle Ridge subdivision and Georgian Bay (Audubon Cove apts.) complex on their morning drive to work. Shrubs planted on the west side of Eagle Ridge Dr. block the northbound view of the trap until it’s too late. Speed limit on Eagle Ridge Dr. was 45mph for years but was reduced to 30 a few years ago. It’s hard to go 30 mph on this road and they know this. It’s a great revenue source for Lee County Sheriff’s office.
